Skydive Monterey Bay welcomes experienced, “B” licensed, and higher, skydivers for super-long, ocean-view freefalls from 18,000 feet! We currently have two Super King Air 200s.
We are located at 721 Neeson Road at the Marina Municipal Airport.
Experienced skydivers have been jumping at this Marina location under the Skydive Monterey Bay name since 1996. The current operation is conducted by Uninsured Skydive Monterey Bay Inc. d/b/a Skydive Monterey Bay. We’re one of the longest-running skydiving centers near the Bay Area. We even hosted multiple Skydive X-Games competitions for freeflying and skysurfing.
We jump from 18,000 feet (above sea level) every day over the top of the gorgeous Monterey Bay. The landing area is less than three miles from the beach, so you’ll have incredible ocean views during your skydive.
Come experience our extremely fast Super King Air (climbs to altitude will never be the same), ridiculously long freefalls and paradise ocean view skydives.
Every Skydive Monterey Bay flight is a high-altitude ocean view skydive in 8-10 minutes from our Super King Air 200.
All experienced jumpers must fly the landing patterns established by Skydive Monterey Bay. They have been set to keep jumpers away from the East approach of the runway. Winds are predominately onshore, out of the west. West and North winds require a left-hand pattern while East and South winds dictate right hand patterns.
Several sections of the main landing area are restricted to staff only. You will be advised of those areas during your ground briefing. To the East of the main landing area is an extensive and open area for novice and less experienced jumpers (< 500 jumps) and for those with canopy size 150sq ft and up.
Jumpers must adhere to all USPA Basic Safety Rules & Recommendations.
Jumpers must complete a waiver of liability and complete a ground briefing and orientation before jumping.
Jumpers must wear seatbelts, and fasten helmets, until 1500 feet AGL.
Jumper must respect the exit order determined by the Load Master.
Minimum canopy open altitude is 3500 feet AGL.
West and North facing landings require a Left-Hand landing pattern. East and South facing landings require a Right-Hand landing pattern
Jumpers must adhere to all other rules and recommendations as briefed during their ground orientation and by the Load Master of the flight.
The main landing area is directly adjacent to the east approach of the runway turnout. It is approximately 4 ½ acres.

The super-fast kind! We have two Super King 200s with very powerful engines. Flights to 18,000 feet typically take about 8-10 minutes. We often average a climb rate above 2000 feet/minute all the way to jump altitude. You’ll never think of a Twin Otter the same way!
Fun jumpers advised to call prior to arriving to the dropzone to get pre-qualified for jumping and get an appropriate arrival time to allow for check-in and registration.
We manifest all the loads into one to four, multiload sets depending on how busy we are. All the flights on a set are flown as back-to-backs.
